Focus Finds the Way

For your convenience, the written version of today’s message, Focus Finds the Way is included below.
Hello Great Ones,
I’m Nate the Great! - and this is another GreatOne Production!
The Great Word for this week is FOCUS.
You can check out a wide variety of resources to find the definition of focus.
But when you get down to it, these resources basically say the same thing.
When you focus on something, you pay very close attention to it.
You make it your center of attention.
You make it THE thing that you give your time, energy, attention and in many cases, your love.
You treat that person, thing, goal or whatever, like it really matters to you.
You treat it like it’s truly important.
Focus doesn’t mean that you run around trying to make sure you do everything.
Focus means that you concentrate on doing the things that you should be doing.
Focus helps you block out all the noise around you.
It helps you remove or even ignore distractions.
Focus helps you “kick out” any doubt that may block you from accomplishing your goal(s).
Focus helps you become and remain very clear about what you’re trying to do and where you’re trying to go.
Focus doesn’t get loud - it gives you direction.
Focus doesn’t move randomly.
Focus has a plan.
The great Tony Robbins once said, “Where focus goes, energy flows and where energy flows, whatever you’re focusing on grows.”
If you live in fear and focus on it, that fear will grow bigger and bigger, until it “eats you alive.”
When doubt is what you focus on, that doubt grips you, holds you and seemingly won’t let go.
When you make purpose the center of your attention and focus on it, your purpose gets stronger and stronger.
If you focus on achieving your greatness, like I focus on achieving mine, that’s when your greatness shows up, shows out and starts to shine!
Throughout this week, make a point of focusing intentionally, meaning focus on purpose.
Decide what’s worthy of your attention and let go of the things that are not.
Remember that not everything deserves your focus - but your future does.
Your mission or your calling does.
Your greatness, whatever that may be, does.
So this week, pick one thing that deserves your focus.
Let that thing be the thing that gets your attention.
Let it be the thing that gets your effort.
Let it be the thing that gets your time, energy and power.
When you’re truly focused, when you’re “locked in,” that’s when you progress.
That’s when you grow.
That’s when you start to live a better life.
That’s when you get closer to your greatness.
And if you ever feel like you’re getting off track or simply lost your way, do whatever you can to regain your focus, because focus finds the way.
Again, I’m Nathaniel White, a.k.a. Nate the Great!
